Heritage Place Sale Topper Fast Flyer 123 To Debut In Retama Park Schooling Races On Wednesday

SELMA, TX–MARCH 23, 2024–Fast Flyer 123, the $450,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale topper last September, is set to make his track debut on Wednesday (Mar 27) when Retama Park hosts 15 schooling racings for 2-year-olds.

First post is 12:00 noon (CDT).

Trainer Toby Keeton will saddle Fast Flyer 123, a son of last year's leading first-crop sire Flying Cowboy 123, in the Race 10 for owner Triple Five. This is the first foal from the Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner Uptowne Babe, a sister to Ruidoso Futurity(G1) winner Uptown Dynasty.

Jockey Nestor Duran has been tapped to ride the Sam Greene Oklahoma-bred from post six.

Race 11 will feature Just Dulce, a $380,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, racing for owner Just Duce Partnership. Jockey Christian Ramos will ride the Jess Good Candy colt  from post four for trainer Marc Jungers.

Bred by Bob and Jerry Gaston, Just Dulce is a brother to two-time AQHA Racing champion Dulce Sin Tacha. He is by Jess Good Candy from the Tempting Dash mare Prissy Sin Tacha.

Jungers and Ramos team up in Race 9 with $300,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate Prey N Cartel for owner Prey N Cartel Partnership. The Famous Cartel colt is a son of leading sire Favorite Cartel from the first crop out of the Grade 1 winning Ivory James mare Preyn On the Mountain. Dr. Steve Hurlber bred the brown colt in Texas.
