TQHA Yearling Sale Consignment Forms Need To Be In The TQHA Offices By May 1, 2024

ELGIN, TX–APRIL 12, 2024–Consignment forms for the 2024 TQHA Yearling Sale, for Accredited Texas Bred Yearlings (foals of 2023), are now available and need to be in the TQHA offices by May 1, 2024.

The 2024 annual sale will be held July 26th and 27th again at the Exposition Hall at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio. All horses that pass through the 2024 sale ring will be eligible for the $200,000 Added 2025 TQHA Yearling Sale Futurity-RG1.

"If you are consigning yearlings to the 2024 sale you will need to fill out one consignment form and fill the seller’s information section on an AQHA transfer report for each yearling you are consigning," TQHA Director of Racing Scott Sherwood said.

The deadline for consignment documents physically in the TQHA office is May 1, 2024.

"These forms need to be in the TQHA Office by May 1, 2024, not postmarked…but in our offices)," Sherwood stressed.  "Don’t get left at the starting gate!!  Get these forms to us as soon as possible to avoid getting shut out.  As most of you have experienced the USPS is really slow with delivery lately so I suggest you mail them Priority, Priority Express or use Fed-Ex or UPS or whatever form of delivery you prefer that has some type of tracking and send them early enough so they arrive by May 1, 2024."

The 2024 consignment form is a fillable pdf form, meaning you can open it on your computer and type all the information in and then print it out.  Typing your name in the signature spots will serve as your signature or you can print it out after you fill it out and hand sign it.  Consignors can also print out the blank form and fill everything in as well.

An AQHA Transfer Report will have to be printed out and requires the sellers information and the sellers hand written signature.

Both these forms are available on the association website or by CLICKING HERE

TQHA will also need the original PARENTAGE VERIFIED Certificate of Registration issued to you by AQHA for each yearling consigned.

"If you have submitted your paperwork to the AQHA but do not have your registration certificates back yet it might be a good idea to call AQHA and see what the status is," Sherwood says.  "If you have not sent in your registration paperwork yet I suggest you do it as quickly as possible and possibly pay the $100 rush fee so that you can get them back in time.  We cannot run a horse through the sale ring without having their original AQHA certificates of registration on file with us."

"We anticipate a large sale this year," Sherwood added.  "Last year’s average sale price was over $22,000!  Don’t miss the chance to participate in this growing event and if you are not selling a yearling be sure and keep an eye out for the catalog sometime the end of June so you can pick out your next stakes winner."

Thanks for your participation in the Texas Quarter Horse Yearling Sale and for your support of Accredited Texas Bred Racing.
