Last Half Of Saturday Remington Park Card Postponed Due To Severe Weather

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–APRIL 27, 2024– Remington Park management postponed the last half of Saturday’s race card after six races had been run. Lightning entered the vicinity of the track just before race seven, with a larger thunderstorm, with possible tornadic activity bearing down on Oklahoma City, the remainder of the card was canceled.

The decision was made in the best interest for the safety of all concerned.

The six races postponed with possibility of a rescheduled date included the $854,775 Remington Park Futurity which was scheduled for the last race of the night. The other stakes not run were the Grade 2 Easy Date, the Dee Raper Sooner State, the Remington Park Juvenile, the $188,975 Remington Park Oaks and the $169,175 Remington Park Derby. An announcement will be made later on the decision to reschedule.

As far as multi-race wagers that were not completed:

  • The Pick 4 that started with race six, all tickets will be refunded.
  • The Pick 3 that began with race five will pay out $7.25 for 6 or 7 with 8 with all.
  • The Pick 3 that began with race six will pay out $2.85 for 8 with all with all.

Remington Park live racing will resume Sunday with a 10-race program, featuring the $159,000 American Paint Classic Futurity. The first race is at 4pm-Central.
