Weber Downs hosted the $10,000 Iron Horse Maturity (not black type) on Sunday's race card.

OGDEN, UT–MAY 19, 2024–Fire Of The Mountain rolled down the track from the outside post to win the $10,000 Iron Horse Maturity (not black type) by half-a-length, setting a new 350-yard track record at Weber Downs Sunday afternoon.

Under jockey Jesus Valenzuela, Fire Of The Mountain covered the distance in 17.312 seconds, equaling a 111 speed index. Jazzing Dynasty set the previous record of 17.446 seconds on May 5, 2024.

Joe Hadley trains the 4-year-old Jr Dynasty Mountain gelding for owner-breeders Larry and Joyce Mower. The $4,000 winner's purse boosted the gelding's earnings to $39,692.  He is out of the Vita Sign mare Sheza Signature.

Jg Corona Virus finished second for owner-breeders Israel Juarez and Sixteo Garcia. Jorge Estrada, Jr. named jockey Cesar Moreno to ride the Glock 4-year-old out of Tat Team USA by Separatist. He earned $3,000.

Multiple graded winner The Prize Ferarri was half a length back to earn $1,500 for third. Mark Hanson trains the 6-year-old Louisiana Cartel gelding for owners RTM Stables, Robin Dunn, Kevin Dunn, and Bryon Goody. Weetona Stanley bred the $161,683 earner in Oklahoma from the Mr Jess Perry daughter Ferarri Fast Prize.

Cuz Hez My Secret and First Moon Covenant completed the field.
