Notes: Oklahoma-bred filly Acapulco Bay earned her berth to the John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship(G3) as the runner-up in the Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge(G3) on August 19. Sent off at odds of 9-1, she briefly held the lead, but finished second by a head.

Acapulco Bay won the first two races of her career at Remington Park for trainer Eddie D. Willis, running sixth in the Remington Park Oklahoma-bred Futurity(G1) in April.

Notes: The filly by Five Bar Cartel broke her maiden on July 2 at Wyoming Downs. Cartel Night qualified for the John Deere Juvenile Challenge at Will Rogers Downs, when she finished third in that regional qualifier on October 1.

The husband and wife team of Clay and Nakia Teeter had an emotional victory in last year’s Bank of American Challenge Championship at Horseshoe Indianapolis. They scored a major upset in the Distance Challenge with Dance The Dust Off.

The colt by Heritage Place Futurity(G1) champion Duponte broke his maiden at first asking on May 14 at Weber Downs.

Notes: Fire Cowboy was the fastest qualifier to the John Deere Sam Houston Juvenile Challenge(G3) on May 26. However, in the final, he finished second by a margin of a half-length to stablemate Stormguard, who will also compete in the John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship(G3).

The son of leading 2023 first crop stallion Flying Cowboy 123 has made each of his 2-year-old starts in Texas. His conditioner Juan Diaz, Jr, won training titles this year at both Sam Houston Race Park and Retama Park.

Notes: Jc Wild Queen earned her berth to the John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship(G3) after running second in the Will Rogers Juvenile Challenge on October 1.  The filly by AQHA Champion stallion Apollitical Jess closed gamely at odds of 35-1, finishing behind the favorite, Jt True Grit, by a margin of 1 ¼ lengths.

Jc Wild Queen competed in trials for the Remington Park Futurity and Heritage Place Futurity before breaking her maiden on May 28.

Notes: The filly by AQHA Racing champion sire Apollitical Jess earned her berth with a third-place finish in the Prairie Meadows Juvenile Challenge on August 19. The top three in that regional final were separated by a nose, so she certainly will relish the challenge in this year’s final.

Out of the Tres Seis mare Tres Seis Folszookie, she is trained by Jason Olmstead, who has been a loyal supporter of the Bank of America Challenge Championship(G1).

Notes: Jt True Grit stamped his ticket to the John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship(G3) winning the Will Rogers Juvenile Challenge on October 1. The son of Capo De Capi was installed as the favorite and lived up to his status with a confident victory in the ten-horse field. He crossed the wire in :17.394 seconds over Jc Wild Queen, who will also head to Lone Star Park in the October 21 final.

The sorrel gelding qualified for two graded stakes this year, running ninth in the Oklahoma Futurity(G2) at Remington Park and third in the Speedhorse Futurity(G3) at Fair Meadows.

Bred by AQHA Champion breeder Bobby D. Cox, the son of Duponte competed in a trial for the Louisiana Futurity at Louisiana Downs prior to making his next four starts in Texas for top Texas Quarter Horse conditioner Juan Diaz, Jr.
