The fastest 10 qualifiers for each of the races will return on September 2nd and vie for the winner's purse. The final purse for each race has not been released.

Sweetwater Futurity Trials

Rm Looking For Fame would not be denied as she roared to a 1 ½ length win in the second of five trials for the Sweetwater Futurity and the fastest qualifying time of :17.786.

Antonio Alberto rode the Makenmoves 2-year-old to his second win in six starts for owner/trainer Miguel Rodriguez. The gelding came into the race off a futurity win at Laurel Brown in her last start. He has earned nearly $20,000 this season.

Ray and Ron Moosman bred Rm Looking For Fame in Utah from the Mr Fancy Fame mare Switching Fame.

The lightly raced Pf Flyair won third trial by one-length for owner/co-breeder Tony Greaves. The Dashair gelding, who was making only his third career start for trainer Susan Hadley, picked up his second win and the second fastest time of :17.829. Jordan Hadley had the riding assignment. Greaves and Tim Oliver bred Pf Flyair in Utah from the Pretty Boy Perry mare Pretty N Famous.

Wyoming Bred Futurity Trials

In the Wyoming Bred Futurity trials Austins Flyer defeated Jess Baby May by a neck in the first of two trials to set the top time of :18.175 for owner /breeder William C. Fox.

Jim Fox trains the gelding out of Heavens An Effort, by Proudest Effort, with Jose Guzman riding.

Jess Baby May held on for the second fastest time of :18.180. Jesse Villegas trains the Adashofjess filly for owner/breeder Steve W. Day. Pedro Martinez had the riding assignment aboard the filly out of Fishers Rich, by Fishers Dash.
