The Streakin Clean Impresses in Hadtobenuts Derby Trials

IDAHO FALLS, ID—AUGUST 26, 2012—Coming off a win at Les Bois Park, The Streakin Clean strung together a two-race win streak while posting the fastest qualifying time for the $8,500-added Hadtobenuts Derby at Sandy Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from the two trial races contested on Sunday will return to the Idaho raceway on September 9th and vie for the winner's purse.

Under jockey Nikeela Black, The Streakin Clean went wire-to-wire to defeat Alittlebitofivory by one-length while covering the 400 yards in :19.844 seconds. The Leonardo and Javier Olmos owned Streakin La Jolla filly came into the race off an impressive one-length win at Les Bois Park on August 8.

Monty Arrossa trained the filly to her third win in seven starts. H & E Ranch, Inc. bred the sorrel miss in Arizona form the Corona Cocktail mare Theslatesclean.

Larry Stewart's homebred Alittlebitofivory held on for the second fastest time of :19.996. Bret Vickery conditions the Ivory James gelding out of Megs Little Sister, by Proudest Effort. Paul Greene had the riding assignment.

Jumpn Black Flash, a Washington state homebred for Lisa Anderson, won the first trial in :20.046 to post the fourth fastest time. L. Uriel Arreola trains the Tac It Like a Man gelding out of Stuckonafeeling, by Special Leader. Robert Webb was aboard.
