OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 25, 2013— Owner and breeder Shirley Wheeler of Boynton, Okla. nearly has the market cornered for current Paint racing dominance in Oklahoma. Her super broodmare Game Chicken simply produces winners, usually stakes winners. The Grade 1, $40,000 National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum Stakes proved the point again Saturday at Remington Park.
The sister/brother act of Imachickenkicker and Flashthechicks ran first and second for Wheeler. Both are foals from Game Chicken. The younger sister at three, Imachickenkicker, passed her older brother Flashthechicks with in the final strides as the family collared early leader Lajollas Mr Big Stuff with about 100 yards left in the 440-yard event. Imachickenkicker got the edge in the final strides to win by a head with Flashthechicks a head better than Lajollas Mr Big Stuff. The race went in :21.534 seconds over a fast track.

A 3-year-old Paint by Dos Poruno from the Game Patriot (QH) mare Game Chicken, Imachickenkicker made another $23,230 on Saturday to run her overall total to $140,527.
This was the first National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum Stakes victory for all of the connections of Imachickenkicker. The race is conducted for Paints and Appaloosas but the 2013 running drew a complete field of all Paints.
The stakes win for Villafranco continues to add to his all-time Remington Park record for most stakes victories by a trainer in the American Quarter Horse & Mixed-Breed Season. The Wapanucka, Okla. conditioner now has eight stakes wins with more opportunities left over the final days of the session.
