OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 29, 2015—There are just two race dates remaining in the Remington Park American Quarter Horse Season, with 22 races in all. A group of trainers are in a heated battle for the season title, including Jeff Dean who forced a tie at the top of the standings on Friday night.

Dean saddled Shez Spitin Diamonds ($7.60 to win), a daughter of Spit Curl Jess in the 12th and final race of the night, to a nose victory to earn his 21st triumph of the season. Dean is now in a first-place tie with Clint Crawford for the lead. Trainer Eddie Willis, a nine-time leading trainer including the last five seasons in a row, is alone in third with 20 wins.

All three of the trainers have numerous horses entered over the final two race dates, virtually guaranteeing the title race will come down to the very end of the season.

Remington Park is now set for the “Mega-Card” on Saturday, May 30, featuring the $1,170,000 Heritage Place Futurity and total purse money worth over $2.3 million. Saturday’s racing which includes eight straight stakes events to end the program, begins at 5pm. The final afternoon of the season on Sunday, May 31 starts at 1:30pm.

Open daily at 10:30am for casino gaming and simulcast racing, Remington Park features the Bricktown Brewery on the casino floor. Admission, general parking and valet parking are always free at Remington Park, home of the $1,170,000 Heritage Place Futurity on Saturday, May 30.
