Pappas In The Hose Holds Off Stablemate to Win $171,985 Bitterroot Futurity

BOISE, ID—JULY 4, 2015—Rob Evans and Hanson Racing LLC's Pappas In The House drifted out under jockey Eddie Aceves before holding off his stablemate Coronas Fast Game by a nose in the $171,985 Bitterroot Futurity at Les Bois Park Saturday night.

The son of multiple stakes sire Pappasito completed the 350 yards in :17.595 seconds to earn a 94 speed index. The $68,794 winner's purse boosted his career earnings total to nearly $76,000 with a (4) 3-0-1 record.

James Hanson conditions the Oklahoma-bred out of the champion mare Mongoose Jet Eye, by Mr Eye Opener. MacKie Racing, LLC is the breeder.

Coronas Fast Game broke in and bumped at the start under jockey Tony Guymon. Also trained by Hanson, the Coronas Fast Dash gelding races for owners Ben McKinney and RTM Stables, LLC. Bobby D. Cox bred the 2-year-old in Louisiana from the Game Patriot mare Game Snowlady. He earned $34,397 for the effort.

Donald Vickery saddled Daddys Dollars to a third place finish for himself and co-owner Karen Vickery. Vessels Stallion Farm LLC bred the Carters Colt filly in California. Jesus Canales as aboard the bay miss out of the Separatist mare Better Tobe Separate. He picked up $17,198. Pay The Price, Sts Moven Spitfire, Klas Of Reason, Timeless Hope, Make My Daze, Is There More and First Prize Luke completed the field.

Katies Easy Moves Wins Bitteroot Juvenile

In the $15,000 Bitterroot Juvenile undercard stakes at Les Bois Park on Saturday, it was Katies Easy Moves defeating Lacey Js Little Sis by a half-a-length. Fames Jess Sweet finished three-quarters back in third place.

Making just her second career start, Katies Easy Moves completed the 350 yards in :17.599 seconds to earn a 95 speed index and pocket a check for $6,000. Jessica Hadley saddled the Maknmoves gelding for owner O-So Smart LLC and Walter Finder.

Finder bred the bay in Utah from the Lanes Lesinter mare Katie Lane Finder. Jose Figueroa was aboard.

Riley Moosman saddled Lacey Js Little Sis to her second place effort for owner/breeder Sam Allie. Uriel Dominguez was aboard the Carters Cartel filly out of Lacey Jn Me, by Streakin La Jolla. She earned $3,000.

Fames Sweet Jess, a daughter of first crop sire Our Sweet Jess, picked up $1,500 for her third place finish. Monty Arrossa trains the sorrel filly for owner/breeders Gary and Jeralyn Messenger. Out of the Floyd de Great mare Go For Fame, Nikeela Black rode Fames Jess Sweet.

Classy Katrina, Dr Stellar, Ferarri Prize Jive, Sheezza Fighter, Expunge and Magic Moments Blues completed the field. Dynamites Ls was scratched.
