L Bar D Dixon Delite Breaks Maiden in $25,100 Grants Pass Firecracker Futurity

GRANTS PASS, OR—JULY 4, 2015—L Bar D Dixon Delite picked the right time to break her maiden. The daughter of multiple stakes sire Inseperable defeated Shimmie Horn by a head in the $25,100 Grants Pass Firecracker Futurity on Saturday afternoon at Grants Pass Downs. Fastest qualifier Ez Fiesty Patriot finished three-quarters back in third.

Racing for owner owner/breeders Darrel and Linda Sanders, L Bar D Dixon Delight completed the 350 yards in :17.983 seconds to pickup the winner's purse of $10,040. It was the first win in four starts this season for the Robert Beckner trainee. Louis Zacherle had the riding assignment.

The Sanders' bred the brown filly in Oregon from the Mr Eye Opener mare Eyes A Flyer.

Juan M. Leon owns-and-trains Shimmie Horn, a Mitey Jody filly out of Termination Point by Kipas Special. Bred by Hayden Brothers Ranch and ridden by Kassie Guglielmino, Shimmie Horn earned $5,020 for her effort.

Fourth in the Pot O'Gold Futurity earlier this year, Ez Feisty Patriot races for owner/breeder Gary Chumbley. Trainer Scott Raley saddled the Game Patriot daughter of Easy Verna, by Georgias Easy. Troy Stillwell had the riding assignment and picked up $3,765.

Shez Sneakin Fast, Secret Second Chance, Frankie Valentine, Freaky Chick and Double Down Corona completed the field.
