Lebron 6 Convincing Winner in Portland Meadow's Directors Handicap

PORTLAND, OR—OCTOBER 4, 2015—Under jockey Osvaldo Gonzalez Lebron 6 raced to a convincing one-length victory over Cm Got Overservered in the $12,750 Directors Handicap (not black-type) Sunday afternoon, opening day of the 2015 Fall Portland Meadows race meet. Jacango finished a half-length back in third place.

Owned-and-trained by Juan Sanguino, Lebron 6 completed the 350 yards in :17.840 seconds with a 3 mph crosswind to earn a 98-speed index. The $6,375 winner's purse brings the 6-year-old's earnings total to $25,485.

Michael and Shannon McKay bred the stakes-placed son of Jess Zoomin in Oregon from the Meter Me Gone mare Jn Sonoma Rose. The brown gelding has compiled a (14) 5-3-3 record.

Multiple stakes winner Cm Got Overserved earned $3,188 for owner/breeder Randy Dickerson and trainer Nick Lowe. Javier Matias rode the 6-year-old son of Corona For Me out of the Dash Ta Fame mare Mi Fames A Dandy. Cm Got Overserved has earned nearly $92,000.

Jacango finished third for owner/trainer Pablo Madrigal. Also bred by Michael and Shannon McKay, the Spit Curl Jess gelding was ridden by jockey Eduardo Gutierrez-Sosa. Out of the Stoli mare Hannas Halo, Jacango earned $1,594 for the effort.

Diva B Gone, Angel Eyez, Bh Country Chrome, Alota Action, Sneakin Bye, Patty Okey, Snowbound Superchick and La Jackye completed the field.
