OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 15, 2017—Dynamix and MH Regardless posted identical times of :13.47 seconds on Wednesday to get the top marks for 2-year-olds during schooling races contested on Wednesday at Remington Park.

Dynamix, an $8,000 Ruidoso Select Sale graduate, led from the start in Race 3 then found more run at the halfway point to pull away by half-a-length under a hand ride. Esdgar Moreno saddled the Dominyun filly for owner Edward Rodriguez. Bred by Bobby D. Cox from the Corona Cartel mare Corona Edge, Dynamix is a half-brother to the AQHA Juvenile Challenge Championship(G2) winner Careless Lightning ($164,403).

Trainer Eddie D. Willis saddled homebred MH Regardless to victory in Race 2. The Chicks Regard gelding had plenty left at the finish after a vigorous hand-ride. The Oklahoma-bred is out of Optimystic, an Ivory James half-sister to AQHA Racing Distance Champion Wahoo ($166,425).

The top training race of the day took place in the first race, for 3-year-olds and up, on Wednesday. Corona Carmelita flew over the 250-yard training race distance in near training race-record time.

Owned by Paragon Farms and conditioned by Trey Wood, Corona Carmelita covered the training race distance in :13.055 seconds while under a hand-ride. A 3-year-old Texas-bred filly by Corona Cartel from the First Down Dash mare The Creole Queen, Corona Carmelita’s time was only .100-seconds off the training race mark set by HYO Inseperable here in 2015.

The second day of training race activity was conducted under sunny skies with temperatures in the low 50s. All races were aided by northerly winds between 9-10mph for a steady tailwind throughout the day.
