Remington Park continued another round of schooling races on Wednesday in anticipation of the track's March 10th opening day.

Fantastic Corona Jr Colt Tops March 1 Two-Year-Olds at Remington Park

 OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 1, 2017—Remington Park training races continue as March arrived today. Majestic Corona topped the eight races for 2-year-olds with the best 250-yard juvenile time of the session.

Owned by Ed Carter, Majestic Corona came in at the start of Race 6, but straightened out to take the lead. He was put in hand to finish the race in the top time 2-year-old time of :13.37 seconds, an 86-speed index with an 18-mph tailwind.

Stacy Capps conditions the colt by fourth crop sire Fantastic Corona Jr from the Fishers Dash mare Jj Dash. Ed and Sammy Carter bred the sorrel colt in Texas.

Trainer Gary Walker saddled Ron and Dolores Coover's Teller Tom to the second fastest time of :13.40 seconds. The $11,000 Heritage Place Yearling graduate is by Teller Cartel from the Azoom mare Azoom Babe. The bay colt took the lead out of the gate and was asked to keep to task while finishing strong.

First Of 15, sister to G2-placed winner Rattle N Battle, was sent to the front after a sub-par break in the second race. The filly quickly took command and finished well under a hand ride. Owner Dick Tobin paid $48,000 for the daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess from the Corona Cartel mare Tinys Corona Queen. Jason Olmstead trains the filly who posted the third fastest 2-year-old mark of 13.45 seconds.

Apollitical Jess was the only stallion with two winners. Other sires with 2-year-old winners on Wednesday's card were Corona Cartel, Country Quick Dash, Carters Cartel and Duke Kahanamoku.

Famous Dash To Me, an unraced 3-year-old daughter of leading sire One Famous Eagle, posted the fastest time of the day from the other schooling race carded for 3-year-olds.

Trained by Trey Wood, Famous Dash To Me won the eighth with a time of :13.291 seconds over a fast track. Famous Dash To Me, out of the Dash For Cash mare Dash Back To Me, ran to the finish with the benefit of an 18mph, northerly tailwind.

The 2017 American Quarter Horse Season at Remington Park will begin on Friday, March 10 and continue thru Saturday, June 3.
