Alli B Wins Featured Race On St. Patrick’s Night At Remington Park 

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 17, 2017—Oklahoma-breds seeking their second career victory were featured on St. Patrick’s Night at Remington Park. Alli B posted the win, by a nose, over Eye Eye Captain in the $19,800 allowance at 330 yards.

Owned by James Sills of Cedar Hill, Texas and trained by Eddie Willis, Alli B was ridden by Jose Vega. Alli B held on to get the slim victory, battling with Eye Eye Captain for the bulk of the race. The 3-year-old gelding crossed the finish in :16.769 seconds over a fast track. Easy Anichini Dash was third, a head behind the winner.

Away at 9-1 odds in the betting, Alli B paid $21.40 to win, $7.40 to place and $5.20 to show. Eye Eye Captain returned $5.60 to place and $3.80 to show. Easy Anichini Dash paid $9.60 to show. BP Flingin South was the even-money wagering favorite, finishing fourth, beaten a neck.

Bred in Oklahoma by Sills, Alli B is by Pyc Paint Your Wagon from the Brimmerton mare Brimmies Alli Bi B. The winner’s share of the feature race was $11,430, running the lifetime earnings for Alli B to $28,898. He has now won two of six career races, with both victories taking place at Remington Park.

Jockey Daniel Torres enjoyed a riding triple on St. Patrick’s Night, scoring first with BP Apollitical Sun ($16 to win) in race two. SR Rumrunner ($13.20) was the second Torres win, taking place in race four. Apollitical Wagon ($16.20) completed the hat trick in the seventh.

The three wins for Torres on Friday increased his season total to six, placing him into a tie for the lead in the jockey standings with Mario Delgado.

Remington Park racing continues Saturday thru Sunday, March 18 & 19. Racing is underway on Saturday at 6pm with Sunday afternoon racing starting at 1:30pm. The featured stakes race this week is on Saturday night with the $50,000 SLM Big Daddy Stakes at 550 yards for 3-year-olds and older.
