Jessadeluxe, Seems Even Better Among Winners On The First Night Of Racing For 2-Year-Olds At Los Ala

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—APRIL 7, 2017—EG High Desert Farms’Jessadeluxe and Ed Allred’s Seems Even Better won their respective career debuts on Friday night and their next starts could come in the trials  to the Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity in early May.

Ridden by Jesus Rios Ayala for trainer Yanet Rodriguez, Jessadeluxe is a full sister to 2013 All American Futurity runner-up Reagal Eagle. Bred by Grant Farms, the filly by One Famous Eagle won her 2-year-old debut by a neck over Atypical in a 300-yard time of :15.924.

Trained by Scott Willoughby, Seems Even Better cruised a length victory in his maiden race at 15-1 odds. Ridden by Carlos Huerta, the Kiddy Up gelding covered the distance in :15.782. Seems Even Better is from the family of Champion of Champions finalist and Grade 1 stakes placed runner Well And Good.

There were four races contested on the first night of races for 2-year-olds at Los Alamitos. The fastest winning time :15.78 belonged to Charles Stojan’s Stripsteak. Trained by Charles Treece, Stripsteak’s mother is the stakes runner Ruths Chris. Stojan and Treece joined forced last year to campaign Toughie, which qualified to the Grade 1 Ed Burke Million Futurity. Roberto Hernandez rode the gelding by One Sweet Jess.

Juan H. Moya’s Migato Rojo won the other juvenile race of the night at odds of 34-1. Trained by Ricardo Guillen, the colt by Red Storm Cat covered the distance in :15.882. Marciel Ramirez piloted Migato Rojo.
