LETHBRIDGE, ALB—JUNE 11, 2017—Last year's AQHA Canadian Racing Champion Poutn On The Wagon returned to races in fine form on Sunday when posted the fastest qualifying time for the All Canadian Derby with a two-length trial win at Lethbridge.

The eight fastest qualifiers, from two trial races, will return to Lethbridge on Sunday, June 25th to vie for the winners' share of a $19,510 purse going 400 yards.

Under a hand-ride by jockey Scott Sterr, Poutin On The Wagon completed his four hundred yard trial race in :19.694 seconds, a 102 speed index into a 25 mph crosswind. It was the seventh win in as many starts for the son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon.

A homebred racing for owner/breeder Pete Schoeler, Putin On The Wagon is an Alberta-bred from the Okey Dokey Dale mare Poutniori. Last year's winner of the Canada Quarter Horse Cup Futurity(G3), Alberta Bred Futurity(RG3) and the Sport Of Speed Sale Futurity has earned $61,484.

The top four qualifiers came out of the first trial.
