Sexy and I Know It B Earns First Stakes Win in Fair Meadows Maturity

TULSA, OK – JULY 8, 2017 - The feature race of the Saturday night card at Fair Meadows went to Sexy and I Know It B, who defeated a full field of older horses by over a length in the $17,500 Fair Meadows Maturity.

Jose Vega and Sexy and I Know It B ($9.00) posted a time of 17.508 for the 350-yard event and picked up a speed index of 97. The 5-year-old son of Apollitical Jess is trained by Miguel C. Banuelos and is owned by Green D Ranch LLC.

Sexy and I Know It B was bred in Oklahoma by Bielau Oaks. He is out of Sheza Lilbituino by Takin on the Cash. Though this was the gelding’s first stakes win, he is no worse than second in three starts at Fair Meadows and has now won seven of his 17 lifetime starts.

Sexy and I Know It B exited the $15,000 Golden Driller Stakes last month at Fair Meadows, in which he was narrowly defeated by I V Gone.

Making his first stakes appearance, Vf Eyebaman and jockey Paul Nieto ran second at odds of 13-1. The 4-year-old gelding is trained by Juan Jose Gomez for owner Longino Garcia. A son of Pappasito, Vf Eyebaman was bred in Oklahoma by L Joe & Judith O Chappell Trst, out of Eyebalady, by Mr Eye Opener.

Post-time favorite Apollitical Man and jockey Mario Delgado were behind Vf Eyebaman by a neck. The multiple stakes winning son of Apollitical Jess recently wrapped up a strong campaign at Remington Park in which he won the $51,800 SLM Big Daddy Stakes and competed in the Grade 1 Leo Stakes. John Weghorst trains for owners Jon and Brant Barley.

Apollitcal Man was bred in Oklahoma by James and Marilyn Helzer. The 5-year-old gelding is out of the Corona Cartel mare Tinys Corona Queen.

Completing the field were Another Desire, Swype, Load Your Guns, Ryder, Mr James Quick, Country Mans Jazz and Cotton Beck.
