Cd Leave Em Proud Gets Up Late To Win Sweetwater Wyoming Bred Derby

ROCK SPRINGS, WY—SEPTEMBER 2, 2017—Cd Leave Em Proud flew late under jockey Ramiro Garcia to defeat Vvr Dazzling Corona by a nose in the $11,000 Sweetwater Wyoming Bred Derby (not black type) Saturday at Sweetwater Downs. Cd Fire And Ice finished half-a-length back in third.

Conditioned by trainer Uriel Dominguez, Sr., Cd Leave Em Proud completed the 350 yards in :17.546 seconds, a 95-speed index. The $4,400 winners' purse boosted the son of Br Proudest Victory's earnings total to $12,695.

A homebred racing for owner/breeder Carol Lee, the 3-year-old colt is out of the Sig Hanson mare Dellaleave.

Casey Albert Lipp's Vvr Dazzling Corona earned $2,200 for second. Skyler Greene trains with Jesus Virgen riding. Mike Lipp bred the sorrel filly from the Dash To Chivato mare Dazzling Chivata.

A daughter of Br Proudest Victory, third-place finisher Cd Fire And Ice races for owner/trainer Uriel Dominguez, Sr. Carol Lee bred the filly from the First N Six mare Signature Rose. Ridden by Uriel Dominguez, the sorrel filly picked up $1,100 for her effort.

Judys Girl, Eyesa Special Harper, Go Roller Coaster, Brindis Secret Toast, Eyesa Special Bolt and A Hot Secret completed the field. Eyesa Special Shadow was scratched.
