Foose Dust Gets Sweetwater Wyoming Bred Futurity Win in Blanket Finish

ROCK SPRINGS, WY—SEPTEMBER 3, 2017—Foose Dust flew from the gate then held off Dust Stone and A Toast To Brindis in a blanket finish Sunday with a nose and a nose separating the top three finishers in the $18,500 Sweetwater Wyoming Bred Futurity.

It as the second in five starts for the Foose gelding who entered the August 20 trials off a third-place finish in the Wyoming Bred Futurity at Wyoming Dale in July.

Ridden by jockey Jesus Valenzuela, Foose Dust completed the 330 yards in a quick :16.583 clocking. The finish was so close that the top-three horses were awarded a 110-speed index.

Ron Moosman saddled the sorrel gelding for owner/breeder Jim Nebeker. Foose Dust was bred in Wyoming from the Maknmoves mare Out Of The Dust. He earned $7,400 for the win to boost his earnings mark to nearly $12,000.

Dust Stone completed an Exacta for trainer Moosman and owner/breeder Jim Nebker by finishing second under jockey Ramiro Haro Garcia. The son of First Prize Stone is out of Dreaming Snow by Snowbound(TB). He picked up $3,700.

Luis Peralta was aboard third-place finisher A Toast To Brindis for owner Gerald Kaul and trainer Jesse Villegas. Also a homebred for Kaul, the son of Brindis Por Cayenne is out of A Secret Life by Beduinos Secret. A Toast To Brindis earned $1,850 for the effort.

Lane 307, Innosent Cat, Sheza Special Legacy, Eyesa Special Cucouy, Coastin Byes Winner and Eyesa Special Cirrus complete the field. Little Amg was scratched.
