St Stick M Up Wins Legends Memorial Stakes

St Stick M Up Wins Legends Memorial Stakes

BLACKFOOT, ID—SEPTEMBER 8, 2017—Ridden by jockey Hector Rabbitskin, St Stick M Up got his best stride late as he defeated Bankas Chocolate by half-a-length in the 575-yard Legends Memorial Stakes (not black type) at Eastern Idaho State Fair.

The 6-year-old son of Thoroughbred sire Swissle Stick (TB) completed the course in :32.408 seconds. It was the second career win for the bay gelding and the $2,420 winners' purse boosted his earnings to $6,476.

Owned-and-trained by Wayne Hall, the New Mexico-bred is out of the Three Oh's Wild mare Just A Wildone. MJ Farms is the breeder.

Robert Harrison's homebred Bankas Chocolate picked up $1,100 for this second-place effort. Todd Thomas had the riding call aboard the Mr Jesse Lee 6-year-old for trainer Heath Hillman. The brown mare is out of the Deregulate mare Cashabanka.

Flash A Look, a 5-year-old son of JD Look finished a neck back in third for owner Jenny Tailfeathers and trainer Nathaniel Birdrattler. Zachary Bacon rode the gelding out of See Sea Lady (TB) by Personage (TB).

Bds Aint No Beach and Parkers Dreamgirl completed the field.
