Cruisinfourabruisin Picks Up Fourth Straight Win in Century Downs Cup Classic

ROCKY VIEW COUNTY, ALB—OCTOBER 22, 2017—Multiple stakes winner Crusinfourabrusin picked up his fourth consecutive win on Sunday when he defeated Toughie by a neck in the $12,712(US) Century Downs Cup Classic. Go Jessin Beaver finished three-quarters back in third.

Janice Sather saddled the Alberta homebred for herself and Barry Sather. The son of leading Canadian sire First Timber completed the 400 yards in :19.742 seconds, a 111-speed on index on a fast track with a 10-mph crosswind.

Cruisinfourabruisin has compiled a (39) 16-12-4 record and today's wining purse of $6,738(US) brought his bankroll total to more than $150,000. He entered today's race off a win in the Century Downs 440 Stakes on October 8. He is out of Tagulator by Royal Evening Snow.

Graded stakes winner Toughie picked up $3,305(US) for his second-place effort. Trainer William Leech saddled the daughter of Stel Corona for owner Charles Stojan. Ricardo Moreno had the riding call aboard the Edward C. Allred California-bred out of Hard Lining by Hawkish. The filly has earned more than $161,000.

Leech also trains third-place finisher Go Jessin Beaver for owners Jim Plume and Charlie Weaselhead. W B D Ranch Inc. bred the Apollitcal Jess 4-year-old in Alberta from the Corona Cartel mare Corona Del Valle. He earned $1,525(US) for the effort.

First Prize Sass, Splashy Mamacita, Canadian Timber and Wait completed the field.
