Remington Park Season Debut Gives Miss Fly On Tac Second Straight Win

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK--MARCH 16, 2018-- After competing solely in futurity trials or maiden events as a 2-year-old last year, Miss Fly On Tac began her 3-year-old season in the claiming ranks. Starting in a $15,000-level claiming race on Friday at Remington Park, Miss Fly On Tac rolled to a half-length triumph.

Owned by the Greenwood, Ark. partnership of Jackie Brown and trainer Matt Whitekiller, Miss Fly On Tac has now won two consecutive races.

She ended her 2017 season with a win in futurity trial competition at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla. Jockey Cody Smith was aboard the filly who used a good start to easily handle the 350-yard race in :15.337 over a fast track.

Eyesa Llano Senator rallied for second with Jettin Jess finishing third, three-lengths behind the winner.

Miss Fly On Tac was at 7-2 odds in the betting and paid $9.40 to win, $4.80 to place and $3.40 to show. Eyesa Llano Senator paid $7.60 to place and $5.40 to show. Jettin Jess returned $9 to show. Signs Of Time was the beaten wagering favorite at 3-1 odds, finishing seventh in the field of 10.

An Oklahoma-bred filly by Tac It Like A Man from the Strawflyin Buds mare Peek To Fly, Miss Fly On Tac won her second career race. The event had a purse value of $20,500 with Miss Fly On Tac gaining $12,120 for the win. She has now earned $15,208

The 2018 American Quarter Horse Season at Remington Park continues Saturday, March 17 at 6pm and Sunday, March 18 at 1:30pm. The feature event on Saturday night is the $50,000 SLM Big Daddy Stakes at 550 yards. All times are Central.
