OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 30, 2018—A quartet of jockeys enjoyed riding doubles on Friday at Remington Park with two of those riders pressing their way to the top of the standings.

On a night where the number-one horse managed to win six of the 12 races on the program, four Remington Park jockeys enjoyed two wins each.

Omar Reyes (races three and eight on PV Hy Rate Of Candy and C Special Jess), Edwuin Lujan (races four and 10 on Sancho Panza and BV Drivingmissdaisy), Ricky Ramirez (races five and six on Illtakeyouforaride and America Rules) and Tanner Thedford (races seven and 11 on Coronas Dashin Injun and Prospects Smashing) all scored twice.

While Thedford won his first races of the season, the victories for Reyes and Ramirez placed them in position for the lead in the standings. Cody Smith won once (race nine on Opentothecartel) to reach 12 wins for the season. The Reyes double also gives him a dozen wins while Ramirez is just one triumph behind the leaders, with 11 wins, good for third-place.

Remington Park’s American Quarter Horse Season continues Saturday, March 31 with the featured event, Grade 3, $50,000 Decketta Stakes for older fillies and mares going 350 yards. The first race is at 6pm-Central.

There will be no live racing on Easter Sunday, April 1, at Remington Park.
