Silver Jet Dash Sprints to Top of Qualifier List for Bitterroot Futurity

IDAHO FALLS, ID—JUNE 8, 2018— Making his third lifetime start, Silver Jet Dash picked up his second win in his trial for the Bitterroot Futurity at Sandy Downs as the fastest qualifier. Silver Jet Dash and Leonardo Gonzales ran the 350-yard trial in 18.236.

The $92,602 Bitterroot Futurity final is scheduled for June 22 at Sandy Downs. The winner will pickup $37,041.

Silver Jet Dash ($4.20) finished over a length ahead of second-place finisher Favorite Insannaty in the fifth and final trial on Friday evening. The Bodacious Dash colt broke his maiden in his debut, a trial for the Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Futurity at Pocatello Downs; he qualified and returned to run third in the final.

Silver Jet Dash was bred in Texas by Irwin Wall, out of Fancy Smoking Jet, by A Royal Jet. He is owned and trained by Fredy Olmos.

Second fastest qualifier Rtm Why Not Me won the first Bitterroot Futurity trial of the evening with a final time of 18.247. The Coronas Fast Dash filly, with Jesus Canales aboard, defeated post-time favorite Bac On Track by over two lengths.

Rtm Why Not Me ($5.40) is trained by Mark Hanson for owner Susan Hanson. She was bred in Idaho by RTM Stables LLC, out of the Maknmoves mare Rtm Good Vibrations.

This was the first career win for Rtm Why Not Me in two career starts; the filly debuted three weeks ago in Pocatello, finishing third in a $4,000 overnight stakes for Idaho-breds.

The third trial produced the third fastest qualifier, Rob That Wagon, in 18.406. The trial victory was the first for Rob That Wagon, who was also ridden by Jesus Canales and is trained by Mark Hanson.

Rob That Wagon is owned by RTM Stables LLC and Robin Dunn. He was bred in Texas by Bob and Jerry Gaston, by Pyc Paint Your Wagon, out of First Tea Rose, by First Down Dash.
