AJAX, ONT—JULY 15, 2018—Multiple stakes winner Country Boy 123 went wire-to-wire in the $30,656(US) All Canadian Classic Sunday afternoon at Ajax Downs to keep his 2018 season at a perfect 4-for-4.

Ridden by jockey Cory Spataro, Country Boy 123 completed the 350 yards in :17.340 seconds to win by one-length over a sloppy course into a 26 mph crosswind. The time equaled a 108 speed index.

"When I saw him bucking and playing in the walking ring I knew he was ready to roll," said Spataro, who has 20 victories to lead the Ajax jockey colony.

"He broke great out the gate and Countrys Comin Bac was right beside him but within two jumps he was on his way."

Trainer Bryn Robertson saddled the Country Chicks Man gelding to his second consecutive All Canadian Classic victory for owner Ruth Barbour. In 20017 the bay gelding posted a one-length win over One Famous Glass and Panther Hero. The $14,428(US) Canadian Classic 2018 winners' purse boosted the 5-year-olds earnings total to $219,876.
