FARGO, ND—JULY 28, 2018—After going winless in his first three starts, Dawsons Affair has been nothing but awesome in this last three outs, including a 1-˝ length victory in the $20,145 North Dakota QHRA Futurity Sunday afternoon at North Dakota Horse Park.

The son of two-time champion Prospect To The Top entered Sunday's futurity final off an impressive three-length trial victory on July 14th. Dawsons Affair, under jockey Zack Ziegler, cleared the field early then reigned supreme by a convincing margin at the wire. He completed the 350 yards in :18.467 seconds into a 5 mph crosswind.

Conditioned by trainer Jim Fleming, Dawsons Affair races for owner Leon Glasser. Karen Glasser bred the bay gelding from the Rare News mare Little Love Affair. He has compiled a (6) 3-0-1 record and banked $14,061 this season.

Junior Dolphus' owned-and-trained Hasta Be Kwik drifted out slightly under jockey Marcus Delorme, but was game challenger to take second. Legacy Ranch bred the son of Hasta Be Fast in North Dakota from the Its Royal Time mare Crazy Kwik Chick. A finalist in the Northern Plains Futurity earlier this season, Hasta Be Kwik picked up $4,633 to nearly double his bankroll total to $7,383.

The lightly raced Hesa Mr Moonflash broke in under jockey Jake Olesiak but hustled to get third, a neck off Hasta Be Kwik. Robert Don Johnson saddled the David Wisdom homebred son of champion sire First Moonflash in just his second career start. Out of the Royal Shake Em mare Royal Wild Time, Hesa Mr Moonflash earned $2,619 for his effort.

Looks Like A Runner, Sucha Easy Memory, Strawfly Style, Corona Company and Jet Mocha completed the field.
