No Ez Money Wins Wyoming 870 by Two Lengths

EVANSTON, WY—AUGUST 18, 2018—No Ez Money (TB), under jockey Jesus Valenzuela, stalked early then took the lead in the stretch to win the $9,900 Wyoming Downs 870 Handicap (not black type) by two-lengths over C J Pro (TB) on Saturday at Wyoming Downs.

Owned-and-trained by Shaun Story, No Ez Money completed the 870-yard distance in :45.300 seconds, a 96-speed index with a 7 mph tailwind. It was the 13th career win for the California-bred son of Don'tsellemshort. The $4,653 winners' purse boosted his bankroll to $122,630.

Roy Tyra bred the 9-year-old gelding from the Royal Egyptian mare Ez Money Honey. He has compiled a (49) 13-8-8 record. C J Pro (TB), a New Mexico-bred son of Pro Prado, showed late interest under jockey Uriel Dominguez to finish second, earning $1,782. Kash Evans conditions the 7-year-old for owners Trina Fackrell and Vaun Jansen. C.P. Hourigan bred C J Pro from the Grand Slam mare Tahitian Bluff.

Snow Phoenix, a Quarter Horse son of Woodbridge, finished 1-˝ lengths back in third. Owned-and-trained by Robby Overturf, Snow Phoenix was bred in Alberta from the Class Project mare Baileys On Ice. Donalda Cochrane is the breeder. Ridden by Cordarelton Benn, the 5-year-old chestnut earned $1,089 for the effort.

Successful Bluff, Louisiana Ladys Man and Alma The Younger completed the field.
