GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—OCTOBER 6, 2018—Louisiana-bred Zoomin Patriot responded gamely under champion jockey Ricky Ramirez to defeat Jordan Eagle by a nose in the $45,065 Dash For Cash Juvenile Saturday night at Lone Star Park.

Conditioned by trainer Rolando Almanza, Zoomin Patriot raced over the muddy (sealed) surface to stop the clock at :19.614 seconds, equaling a 99 speed index. It was the second win in seven starts this season for the son of multiple stakes sire Jet Black Patriot.

Racing for owner Claudia Avila, the black gelding picked up $13,518 to boost his career mark to more than $93,000. Bred by Run Bayou Ranch LLC, from the Azoom mare Zippy Zoomer, Zoomin Patriot made his first start out of the state of Louisiana in the Dash For Cash trials following a fourth place effort in the $700,000 RG1 Lee Berwick Memorial Futurity at Delta Downs in July.

In just his second career start, Jordan Eagle earned his black type with a game effort under jockey Jesse Levario to finish second. A $35,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, Jordan Eagle races for owner Javier Rosique and is conditioned by trainer Josue Ponce.

A son of leading sire One Famous Eagle, the brown colt is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Pyc Prize Doll, a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Fast Prize Jordan. Weetona Stanley bred the colt in Oklahoma. The $9,013 second-place check pushed his earnings over $10,000.

Multiple stakes-finalist Moment Of Fury finished half-a-length back to take third for trainer Alberto Solis and owner Rogelio Marquez, Jr. Luis Vivanco rides the Furyofthewind gelding out of Moment Of Epiphany by Relagate (TB).

Bred in Texas by Sarah Huskey, the sorrel gelding was also a finalist in the Grade 2 Sam Houston Futurity and the Grade 2 Firecracker Futurity earlier this year. He has earned $63,145.

This Guys A Volcom, Fast Prize Drew, Ahs Streakin Patriot, Abygale and Jakes Baby Wagon completed the field. New News and The Fish Cartel were both scratched.
