Showmethedoe Fastest Qualifier To AQRA-President's Open Fall Futurity

PHOENIX, AZ—OCTOBER 14, 2018—Utah Bred Futurity runner-up Showmethedoe drew clear under jockey Joseph Belloc, Jr. Sunday afternoon, winning the first of three trials for the AQRA-President's Open Fall Futurity by 1-¼ lengths at Turf Paradise.

The son of All American Futurity(G1) winner No Secrets Here completed the 350 yards in :17.722 seconds, a 94 speed index with a 7 mph crosswind, to set the top qualifying time.

Rigoberto Guillen conditions the Utah homebred for owner/breeder Steve Berry. Out of Bundle Doe, a daughter of leading Thoroughbred sire Hennessy, Showmethedoe finally broke his maiden last month at Albuquerque.

Prior to that he has finished second or third in four of six starts including the Utah Bred Futurity at Wyoming Downs. Also a finalist in the Beehive Futurity, Showmethedoe has earned $21,859 this season.

Lightly raced Ls Power broke his maiden in the last trial to get the second fastest clocking of :17.977 seconds, a 90 speed index. Benito Vega saddled the son of multiple stakes sire Louisiana Senator for owner Deni Rodarte Puente.

Bred in New Mexico by Joe David Yates and Roger Beasley, Ls Power is out of the Desirio mare Neverleavin You. Juan Ramirez was aboard for the colt's fourth career start.

Jess Pure Class posted a head win in the second trial for owner-trainer Guillermo Morales. Kevin Carbajal rode the Jesse James Jr gelding to his second career win in as many starts this season to get the 7th fastest time of :18.103 seconds.

MJ Farms bred the bay gelding in New Mexico from the Chicks Beduino mare A Chick Of Class. This was his first start since winning a trial to the Desert Classic Futurity last April.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to Turf Paradise on Sunday, October 28th to vie for the winner's share of a $10,000-added purse.
