CYPRESS, CA—DECEMBER 16, 2018—Trainer Justin Joiner also saddled $30,000 Los Alamitos Juvenile winner Fyre Wall, under champion jockey Cody Jensen, on Sunday night for owners R.D. and Shaun Hubbard.

In just his third career start, Frye Wall defeated Heza Blue Man by half-a-length while clocking the 400 yards in :19.864 seconds, a 90 speed index. Terrific First Down finished a nose back for third.

A New Mexico home-bred for R.D. Hubbard, Frye Wall is by champion sire Walk Thru Fire from the Mr Jess Perry mare Lady Jessie Dee. The sorrel gelding scored his first career win and picked up $13,800 for his effort.

Leading trainer Paul Jones saddled runner-up Heza Blues Man for owners Lisa Beauprez, Thomas H. Bradbury and Thomas Bradbury, Jr. Jesus Ayala rode the Favorite Trick California-bred from the Mr Eye Opener mare Eyesa Blues Girl. Bred by Steve D. Burns, DVM Heza Blues Man earned $6,000 to bring his bankroll for the year to $18,480.

Terrific First Down, a daughter of all-time leading sire First Down Dash from the stakes winning and stakes producing Mr Jess Perry mare Terrific Energy earned $3,000 for finishing third. Eduardo Nicasio had the riding call aboard the California homebred for owner/breeder's Parsons Family Limited Partnership. Christopher O'Dell is the trainer of the $14,535 earner.

Callender, Ladys A Cartel, Stel A Gambler, Jess Flashee, Pull The Trigger, Jess Motions and Majestic Mr Perry completed the field.
