PORTLAND, OR—DECEMBER 23, 2018—Cm One Ina Bluemoon, under jockey Alex Anaya, got away best then pulled clear to defeat Warhock by 1-¼ lengths in the $12,600 Memorial Stakes (not black type) Sunday afternoon at Portland Meadows. Posttime favorite Okey Dokey Road put in a game effort on the outside to finish a neck back in third.

Saddled by trainer Nick Lowe, Cm One Ina Bluemoon completed the 350 yards in :17.702 seconds, a 104 speed index over the wet fast racecourse.

Co-owned by Lowe and breeder Randy Dickerson, the 3-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Ivory James picked up $6,300 to bring his bankroll to $44,223. Bred in Oregon, from the Jess Louisiana Blue mare Cool Blue Corona, the bay gelding has compiled a (20) 5-5-3 record.

After winning an allowance at the start of the meet, Cm One Ina Bluemoon finished second in the Portland Meadows Fall Derby and third in the Portland Meadows Championship Bonus Challenge on December 16.

Runner-up Warhock, a 3-year-old Zoomin For Bux gelding from the Corona Cartel mare Copa Show Girl, races for owner Malon Cowgill and is conditioned by trainer Benito Curiel. Jose Antonio Figueroa rode the Hayden Brothers Ranch Oregon-bred. The stakes-placed runner pocketed 3,150 for second to bring his total earnings to $38,268.

The loss snapped a three-race win streak for Okey Dokey Road who earned $1,575 for third. John Harris saddled the winner of the Portland Meadows Fall Derby in his last start for owner Sig Aumueller. The homebred Okey Dokey Dale gelding out of Sissy Road by Cisco Road (TB) is co-bred in Oregon with Hilde Aumuller. The stakes winner has banked $17,928.

Cm Once Ina Bluemoon returned $5.80 to win, $3.80 to place and $2.20 to show. Warhock paid $3.40 and $2.60 and Okey Dokey Road paid $2.20 to show.

Diva Has It, Heza Eagle, I Aint Callin, Sweet Dream Demon and Bunnys Best Advise completed the field.
