Five trials determined the ten fastest qualifiers for the 350-yard final scheduled on April 27.

Loco Ocho won the second trial and posted the fastest qualifying time of 17.961. Kylie Schoonover was aboard for the half-length win that earned the filly a 93 speed index.

Loco Ocho is trained by Garth Blattner for Les and Darla Barlow, who also bred the 3-year-old filly in Idaho. A daughter of The Louisiana Cartel, Loco Ocho is out of the multiple stakes winning mare Sign of Pride, by First Wrangler.

The first trial of the day produced both the second and third fastest qualifier. Hez Fabulous posted a time of 17.976 as the winner, a half-length ahead of Keller Knud Teller in second place with a time of 18.025.

Hez Fabulous was ridden by Oscar Cervantes for trainer Jay Pitcher. The 3-year-old gelding was bred in Utah by his owners, George and Judy Weldon, by FDD Dynasty and out of the Hawkinson mare Shes Fabulous.

Hez Fabulous debuted as a 2-year-old at Weber last year before making five starts in Wyoming, ending his 2018 campaign as the runner-up in the WHR Open Futurity Juvenile Stakes at Sweetwater Downs.

Keller Knud Teller and Jesus Valenzuela made up ground to finish a half-length behind the winning pair. She is trained by Riley Moosman for owner and breeder Gordon Knudsen.
