It's A Dream Return To The Track For Filly In Ab What A Runner Handicap

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—JANUARY 25, 2020—Reliance Ranches LLC's Dreams Divine enjoyed a brilliant return to the races, as she scored a powerful victory in the $15,000 AB What A Runner Handicap for 3-year-old fillies on Saturday at Los Alamitos.

Ridden by Oscar Peinado for trainer Mike Robbins, Dreams Divine was making her first start since finishing second to Flokie in a photo in the Grade 1 Ed Burke Million Futurity on June 23. That was her final start of 2019 until returning here for her sophomore campaign.

"She had a small chip that we took care of," Robbins said. "She's been great since returning. She's doing really well, training nicely and I expected her to do well in her return."

Dreams Divine ran beautifully from post number three, opening up a nice advantage right from the start on the way to ˝ length victory in a time of :17.599.

The victory improved her career record to four wins in six starts with her only blemishes being that second place effort in the Ed Burke and a third place finish in the Grade 2 Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity in mid-May.

By leading sire Apollitical Jess and out of the stakes winner Answer The Dream, Dreams Divine added $8,250 in earnings to take her bankroll to $235,439. J. Garvan Kelly and Nancy Yearsley bred the talented filly, who'll now be pointed to the Los Alamitos oaks trials on March 28.

Martha Wells' Fashin Icon ran gamely from post four to finish second behind Dreams Divine. The Arizona-bred filly by Texas Icon has hit the board in five of eight career starts. She earned $3,375 to take her career bankroll to $21,849.

One Sweet Change, Ventura Jess Jqm and Wambui completed the field.
