POCATELLO, ID—JULY 15, 2020-Multiple stakes winner Dashair Special was never headed as the 5-year-old gelding defeated stablemate He Looks Royal by half-a-length in the $4,800 Idaho Bred Maturity (not black type) Wednesday evening at Pocatello Downs.
Ridden by jockey Jesus Canales, Hocks Fast Wagon went-off as the post-time favorite to record a :17.589 clocking, a 97 speed index for the 350 yards. It was the bay geldings sixth career win in 14 starts and the $2,568 winners' purse boosted his bank account to $27,048.

Also trained by Hanson, He Looks Royal races for Chapple and Dick Wasia. J. Hanson, L. Chapple and D. Wasia bred the gray son of multiple stakes sire Royal Shake Em in Idaho from the Feature Mr Jess mare Mothers Gift. Ridden by Nakia Ramirez, He Looks Royal earned $1,176 to bring his earnings to $16,836.
Pickle Dilly, under jockey Eric Ayala, finished three-quarter back to earn $624 for third. Jarrett Mills trains the Idaho-bred son of The Louisiana Cartel for owner-breeder Davie Merritt. Pickle Dilly is out of the A Regal Choice mare Dilligass. Also a stakes winner, he has earned $20,344.
Dashair Special returned $4.60 to win and $2.60 to place. He Looks Royal paid $3.00 to palce and the 1-2 Exacta returned $7.50. Senor Call finished 2-¾ back in fourth.
