Vvr Here Comes Bendy Upsets Third Division of the Wyoming Stallion Futurity

Vvr Here Comes Bendy Upsets Third Division of the Wyoming Stallion Futurity

ROCK SPRINGS, WY—EPTEMBER 19, 2020—In the third of four divisions of the $15,000 Wyoming Stallion Futurity at Sweetwater, Vvr Here Comes Bendy pulled off a minor upset to win by a nose.

Gerardo Vera rode Vvr Here Comes Bendy ($16.60) to victory for trainer Josh Taylor. Byron and Skyler Goody’s gelding posted a final time of :15.997 and earned an 81 speed index in the third 300-yard stake of the day.

Vvr Here Comes Bendy was bred in Wyoming by Mike Lipp, by Whata Corona Runner and out of the Proudest Effort mare Fleetwood Mick. After debuting at Wyoming Downs, the gelding made a start at Sweetwater and broke his maiden in Saturday’s stake, his third career start.

Vvr Baby Doll and Shaunda Larsen finished a nose behind in a narrow loss for trainer Jorge Garfias and owner Aron Saenz. Mike Lipp bred the filly, by Coronas Velvet and out of Bcr Buds Doll, by Strawflyin Buds.

Vvr Baby Doll made her stakes debut in Saturday’s race, her fifth career start and best placing to date.

There was a dead heat for third between Eyesa Special Beddy and Eyesa Special Mongo, who finished a neck behind the first two finishers.

Eyesa Special Beddy was ridden by Oscar Cervantes for trainer Jesse Villegas. She is owned and bred by Broken Bones Cattle Company, by Eyesa Special Slim and out of Streakin Beddy Bye, by First N Six.

Her stablemate, Eyesa Special Mongo, was ridden by Santiago Jimenez for owner Juanita Villegas. Broken Bones Cattle Company also bred Eyesa Special Mongo, by Eyesa Special Slim, out of another First N Six mare, Sweet Betty Lou.

Completing the field were Sixs Cb Moman, Our Dicey Man, Nurse Rockette and Cd Lotta Okey Dokey.
