Bigg Brown Turns in Dominant Effort in Fourth Wyoming Stallion Futurity Division

ROCK SPRINGS, WY—SEPTEMBER 19, 2020—In the last of four divisions of the $15,000 Wyoming Stallion Futurity on closing weekend at Sweetwater, Bigg Brown won impressively to score his first career stakes win.

Bigg Brown ($2.20), piloted by Tyson Lusk, was a heavy post-time favorite and cleared the 300-yard distance by a length and a half. The final time was 15.653 and the winner earned a 92 speed index.

In five career starts, Bigg Brown has two wins and has never finished worse than third. He qualified to the Rock Springs Wyoming Bred Futurity and the Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity at Wyoming Downs.

Jordan Hadley trains Bigg Brown for owners and breeders Dan and Kim Lapierre. The Wyoming-bred gelding is by Choctaw River, by Purrfect Eve, by Devon Lane.

Leading the charge for second place was Dicey Snow and Santiago Jimenez. Owned and trained by Chad Giles, Dicey Snow made his fourth career start and first start in a stakes race in Saturday’s event.

Dicey Snow was bred by Gary Laramie, by Our Dicey FFM and out of Dreaming Snow, by Snowbound.

Completing the trifecta were Eyesa Special Nova and David Jimenez. The Eyesa Special Slim filly is trained by Jesse Villegas for owners Jerry and Cheri Cook. She was bred in Wyoming by Broken Bones Cattle Company, out of Cashin Kirk Legacy, by First N Six.

Completing the field were Eyesa Special Rebel, Docs Fast Scat, Cruzn Pro and Vvr Whata Lady. Fast Like Kc was scratched.
