COLUMBUS, OH—OCTOBER 23, 2010--Beulah Park played host to three stakes races Saturday as part of the 2010 All American Quarter Horse Congress.

The All American Quarter Horse Congress is the World's largest single-breed Horse show. The Congress receives more than 17,000 show entries and housed more than 8,500 registered American Quarter Horses during its three-week run. It attracts more than 650,000 people to the Columbus area, bringing over $110 million to the central Ohio economy each year.

My Corona Is Rare Easy Winner in Congress Futurity

James Bratton's My Corona Is Rare was an easy 1 ¾ length winner in the $40,555 Jim Barney Quarter Horse Congress Futurity Saturday afternoon.

Under jockey Brian Hollingsworth, the Corona For Me colt completed the 400 yards in :20.140 seconds to earn a 96 speed index. He picked up the winner's share of $18,250 for the effort.

Trainer James Bratton saddled the chestnut that came into the finals as the second fastest qualifier from trials that were run on October 12th. Carl and Luanne Humphries bred My Corona Is Rare In Alabama from the Rare Form mare Mynewsensation.

Lucas Racing, Inc's home-bred Special Ela finished second, earning $6,894. The Special Leader filly is out of Ocean Memories by Leaving Memories and is trained by Ron Raper. Raul Hernandez was in the saddle.

Mr Corona To You, also by Corona For Me, was a neck back in third for Walter R. Harrison. Carol Rettele handles the gelding with Richard Rettele in the saddle. He earned $4,057.

Completing the field were Cash For Braggs, Out An About, Friendly Hawk, Gc Cash N Advance, Builtjewels and My Easy Corona.

Fearless Fred Proves Fearless in Congress Derby Final

Walther Harrison's home-bred Fearless Fred took control earlier and run away from the field Saturday to win the All American Quarter Horse Congress Derby by 2 ½ lengths.

Sire by second crop sire Fredricksburg, the bay gelding completed the 440 yards in :21.798 seconds to earn a 97 speed index. He was ridden by Richard Rettele.

Carol Rettele handled the gelding out of the Heza Fast Man mare Precious Debutante. The win was worth $9,402.

Blas Juarez, Sr.'s Five Star Cartel settled for second and earned $3,837. The Prime Talent gelding is trained by Frank Randazzo, Jr. with Rafael Hernandez in the saddled.

It was another two lengths back to Features First Cutie, an Ausual Suspect filly owned and trained by Harold Bragg. Albert Rozman was up for the ride worth $2,302.

Completing the field were Later Version, Oak Tree Boulevard and Blueglass Dash.

Skyline Lover Squeaks in All American Congress Maturity

Skyline Lover squeaked to a neck victory over Jess Cashin In Saturday afternoon in the $26,200 All American Quarter Horse Congress Maturity for 4-year-olds and up.

Racing for Dan Frazer, the Feature Mr Jess gelding earned the winner's purse of $11,790 for the effort. Ridden by Brian Hollingsworth, the 4-year-old covered the 440 yard distance in :21.969, a 93 speed index.

Matt Frazier saddled the James G. Burgess bred out of the Royal Quick Dash mare Loves That Gold.

Jess Cashing In settled for second to earn $4,454 for owner Jesus Gonzalez. Denny Bland saddled the Mr Jess Perry gelding with Gerardo Garrido in the irons.

Gc Smoky Joe finished ¾ back in third for owner Twin Creek Farms, LLC. The 5-year-old Fast Debonair gelding is trained by Eucklie Henson and had Megan Ludlow in the irons. He earned $2,620.

Completing the field were Shamu Moon, Hez Fastforthecash, Traffic Cartel, Zoom N Crash and Eye Am A Star.
