RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—NOVEMBER 1, 2016—Sierra Blanca Equine announced today that former leading New Mexico sire Brookstone Bay SI 101 and and multiple stakes sire Winners Version SI 103 will stand the 2017 season at their facility near Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico.

Winners Version's fee has been set at $3,000 and Brookstone Bay will stand for $2,500.

From eight crops to race Brookstone Bay has sired 185 winners, 40 stakes horses (11%), 1 champion, earners of $7.3 million with average earnings per starter of more than $20,200.

The son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash won or placed in 14 of 21 career starts while earning $184,770. He won the Grade 3 First Down Dash Handicap, was second in the Vessels Maturity(G1), Sgt. Pepper Feature Handicap(G3) and 3rd in the Los Alamitos Championship(G1).

Brookstone Bay's dam is the G2-placed Coup de Kas (TB) mare Le Ritz SI 92 ($63,678), dam of 7 ROM including full siblings Valors Gold SI 104 ($319,114), Brookstone Bay SI 101 (see above), G2-placed Remarkably Ritzy ($200,1430), etc. She is also the granddam of Grade 1 winner First Down Mr Jess SI 98 ($180,612), etc. The second dam is the Champion Filly Sixy Chick SI 106 ($751,284) by Streakin Six.

He was also the only horse of his generation to qualify for five Grade 1 futurities including the All American Futurity(G1), Ruidoso Futurity(G1), Rainbow Futurity(G1), Los Alamitos Million Futurity(G1) and Golden State Million Futurity(G1). Winners Version also completed in the Rainbow Derby(G1) and Zia Park Championship(G1).
