Grade 3 Lethal Corona to Scarlett Hill

WEATHERFORD, OK—NOVEMBER 7, 2016—Scarlett Hill Farm, Inc. announced today the Grade 3 placed Lethal Corona will kickoff his stallion career in 2017 at their farm near Weatherford, Texas. His introductory fee has been set at $1,500 with discounts available.

The son of leading sire Corona Cartel is the only stallion at stud from the "blue hen" mare Miss Lethal by Chicks Beduino.

Owned by Mickey Tiner, Lethal Corona won or placed in 15 of 18 career starts and earned $59,524. He was second in the Dash For Cash Juvenile Invitational at Lone Star Park and third in the Grade 3 Easy Jess Stakes at Remington Park. Leading trainer Judd Kearl trained the P.K. Thomas Oklahoma-bred colt.

Lethal Corona, under champion jockey Ricky Ramirez, breaks his maiden in first career start by winning a trial for the Grade 1 Heritage Place Futurity at Remington Park.

In his last start on November 4th, Lethal Corona finished a nose off stakes winner Snipes And Bites, with both horses breaking the Lone Star Park track record for 330 yards. The previous record of :16.484 seconds was set October 12, 2012 by Allure Sr. Lethal Corona recorded at :16.483 for the 330 yard distance.

His sire Corona Cartel is the "leading living sire" of money earners with 157 stakes winners, 7 champions and earnings of more than $53.6 million. Also known as a "sire of sires", his leading sons at stud include Pyc Paint Your Wagon, The Louisiana Cartel, Teller Cartel, Ivory James, etc.
