Cartels Candy Man To Lazy E Ranch In 2017

GUTHRIE, OKLAHOMA—DECEMBER 6, 2016—Cartels Candy Man SI 96, a young winning son of Corona Cartel and the multiple graded stakes winning and multiple graded stakes producing Strawfly Special mare This Candys Special, is joining the stallion battery at Lazy E Ranch.

The first few starters by Cartels Candy Man include this year’s $330,000 Black Gold Futurity finalist Cartelscandymachine SI-91 ($22,275) and $230,000 Speedhorse Futurity finalist Live To Love Candy ($20,219) plus 3-time winner Candy Captain Carl $33,129.

Cartels Candy Man is a full brother to multiple graded stakes winner and graded stakes producer Candy Cartel $210,141 and a half-sister to stakes winner and 440-yard track record setter Jess Special Candy $155,896.

Cartel Candy Man’s dam This Candys Special $100,361 is a three-time graded stakes winner and a half-sister to the dam of all-time leading money earner and Champion Jess Good Candy. He is also a half-brother to multiple graded stakes winner This Candys Awesome $434,265 (racing in 2016) and to stakes winner and track record setter Send Me This Wagon $141,929 (racing in 2016).

“When we were talking with Rozella Pevehouse and Clint Crawford on Jess Good Candy, we were also able to discuss Cartels Candy Man. In my opinion, anytime you can add another “Candy” horse to your roster you should complete the deal and this one is showing great promise from a very limited opportunity to date,” said Lazy E’s Butch Wise.

“This is the same cross (Corona Cartel on a Strawfly Special daughter) that is responsible for such top stallions as Pyc Paint Your Wagon, Ivory James and Fantastic Corona Jr. We are pleased to add him to our stallion roster and his fee will be a very reasonable $1,250.”
