Coronado Cartel sired his first stakes winner on Saturday when Fly N Tell won the RG3 $50,000 Easy Jet Stakes at Remington Park.

First-Crop Sire Coronado Cartel Gets First Stakes Winner

GUTHRIE, OK—JUNE 3, 2018—Remington Park Futurity winner and 2018 first-crop sire Coronado Cartel got his first stakes winner on Saturday when 2-year-old Fly N Tell won the $50,000 Easy Jet Stakes(RG3) at Remington Park.

An Oklahoma homebred racing for owner/breeder Robert Lee Esqueda, Fly N Tell defeated Priceless by one-length to pick up the Easy Jet Stakes' winner's purse of $29,784. Also trained by Esqueda, the bay filly completed the 350 yards in :17.471 seconds, a 91 speed index. Bred from the Strawflyin Buds mare Strawfly Sister, Fly N Tell has won two five starts and banked more than $45,000 this season.

Coronado Cartel won our placed in nine of 12 career starts and earned $416,178. He won the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity, Mr Jess Perry Stakes and was second in the Texas Classic Futurity. He also competed in the Grade Texas Classic Futurity and Sooner State Stakes-twice.

The son of leading living sire Corona Cartel is out of Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner First Carolina SI 106 ($415,047) by Mr Jess Perry. He is a brother to Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity winner Ms First Prize Rose SI 101 ($550,105), Rainbow Juvenile winner and All American Futurity(G1) finalist Denver Pass and Grade 2 Firecracker Futurity runner-up Itea SI 101 ($64,711), etc.
