TALLAHASSEE, FL—SEPTEMBER 30, 2010—AQHA Racing Canada Champion and stakes sire in his first crop to race, Mezoomn will stand the 2011 season at AVS Equine Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida. His fee has been set at $1,200 with consideration.
From a limited number of starters in his first crop to race this year, Mezoomn has sired 60% stakes horses. From five starters, he has four winners, two stakes winners, and one stakes-placed runner with average earnings per starter of $24,243.
His first year crop includes two-time restricted 3 winner Poutnokey SI 94 ($76,713) winner of the Canada Quarter Horse Cup Futurity(RG3) and Alberta Stallion Futurity; Shakeyobouti SI 92 ($16,673) winner of the Bonnett and Brodon Futurity; and Zoom Zoomin SI 92 ($22,492), 2nd in the Alberta Stallion Futurity.
Darren and Marilyn Pollett's Shady Lane Stables raced the the son of leading sire Shazoom, who won or placed in 15 of 16 career starts while earning the AQHA Racing Champion Canadian Quarter Horse title in 2006. An earner of $95,925, he won the Canada Juvenile Challenge, All Canadian Futurity of Alberta, and the Horseman's Open Derby.
Mezoomn is a half-brother to AQHA Racing's Canadian Champion Its All About Speed ($174,524) and stakes-placed Pretty Special Boy and Special Corona. His second dam Old Love Of Mine, by Dash For Cash, is a full-sister to Champion of Champions(G1) winner Justanold Love ($949,836) and stakes winners Calling For Cash and Oh My Dash.
Lucas Racing, Inc. has purchased 1/2 interest in the accredited Florida stallion. All offspring resulting from the 2011 breeding season will be accredited Florida-bred eligible, even if they are foaled outside the state of Florida.
