Flyin High Secret Sets Fastest Merial Lone Star Distaff Mark

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 20, 2014—Running for a $15,000 tag just two races back, Flyin High Secret scored her second career win Saturday night while on her way to setting the top qualifying time for the $20,000-Added Merial Lone Star Distaff Challenge.

The 10 fastest qualifiers, from two trial races contested, will return to Lone Star Park on Saturday, October 4th and vie for the winner' share of the purse as well as securing a starting spot in the October 15th $125,000 Grade 1 Merial Distaff Challenge Championship at Prairie Meadows.

Ridden by jockey Luis Reyes, Flyin High Secrets bobbled the start but recovered gamely to defeat String Bikini by half-a-length. The No Secrets Here 4-year-old completed the 400 yard course in :19.860 seconds into a 15 mph headwind.

Mary Meza conditions the brown miss for owner Juan Carlos Meza. Garlyn O. Shelton bred Flyin High Secrets in Texas from the Jody O Toole mare Jury Selection. Her career record stands at (15) 2-4-1 with $21,415 in the bank.

Kirklyns Dynasty, a homebred FDD Dynasty mare for Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches, LP won the first trial while recording the fifth fastest time of :20.085 seconds. The brown miss rallied under jockey Jose Alvarez to defeat Kateillac by a neck. Mike Robbins saddled the 5-year-old out of Dela Crème Dash, by Dash For Cash.
