EDMONTON, ALBERTA—OCTOBER 5, 2015—Charles Stojan’s Tiny Flying Corona is one of nine sprinters entered in Wednesday’s 330-yard, $22,500 Markel Northlands Bonus Challenge Stakes at Northlands Park.
A 5-year-old son of Tinys First Corona trained by William Leech, Tiny Flying Corona has won four of his six outs and has earned $24,651 this season. The gelding drew post 2 and will be ridden by Ricardo Moreno.
Other contenders include Streaken Timber, a homebred 3-year-old First Timber gelding trained by Les Adams for owner Shirley Laczo. Streaken Timber has won three of his four starts at this track, including the June 24, $39,000 Alberta Bred Derby (R).
Streaken Timber drew post 6 and will be ridden by Tyler Walker.
