Fast Man Vic Goes Wire-to-Wire in Bank of America Ajax Challenge Championship

AJAX, ONT—AUGUST 21, 2016—Fast Man Vic broke alertly under jockey Shanley Jackson, then rolled to a 1¼ length win over One Famous Glass in the $42,519(US) Bank of America Ajax Challenge Championship Sunday afternoon at Ajax Downs.

Saddled by Greg Watson, the 4-year-old raced over the 440-yard course in :22.070 seconds, a 92-speed index into a 14 mph crosswind. Full Circle Racing owns the son of Mighty Invictus.

Walter R Dick Harrison bred Fast Man Vic in Texas from the Heza Fast Man mare Precious Debutante. The bay gelding has complied a (19) 6-3-4 record and the ($20,834(US) winner's purse today boosted his total earnings to $168,493.

Racing for Carol Robertson, Jaime Robertson and Dr. Charles Hall, One Famous Glass is conditioned by trainer Bryn Robertson. Burnett Ranches, LLC bred the One Famous Eagle gelding in Texas from the Royal Quick Dash mare Quick Glass. Ridden by Tony Phillips, the 6-year-old picked up $8,929(US) for the effort. Bumped at the start, the multiple stakes winner has earned $177,032.

Fantsy Pants closed late to finish a length back in third. Michelle Woodley saddled Maryland-bred son of Splash Bac, from the Corona Cartel mare Corona Deluxe, for owner/breeder Lucas Racing, Inc. Ridden by Chelsey Willick, Fantsy Pants earned $4,464(US) for his effort.

Jesskissmytexas, The Fdd Map, Rockin Miss Kitty and Dee Dees Winner completed the field.
