Race My Tell Breaks Maiden In E.I.S.F. Maiden Challenge

BLACKFOOT, ID—SEPTEMBER 10, 2016—Race My Tell, under jockey Eric Alaya, was best late when she defeated A Courageous Act by half-a-length in the $12,648 E.I.S.F. Maiden Challenge (not black type) Saturday afternoon at the Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot.

The daughter of Never Tell completed the 300 yards in :15.870 seconds, an 87 speed index with a 5 mph tailwind, to record her first win in eight career starts. The $6,577 winner's purse boosted Race My Tell's earnings to $8,091.

Farol Cunningham trains the 3-year-old for owner/breeder Vicente Treyes. Race My Tell is an Idaho bred from the Bono Jazz mare Race To Riches.

Cunningham also saddled runner-up A Courageous Act, a Kentucky-bred daughter of Captain Courage for owner Ismael Mendoza. Mary and Mike Morris bred the sorrel filly from the First Down Dash mare Act Out. She earned $2,909 for the effort.

Heza Shocker finished 1 ¼ lengths back in third for trainer Mark Hanson and owners Susan Hanson and RTM Stables, LLC. Greg Creager bred the Coronas Fast Dash gelding in New Mexico from the Vita Sign mare Electric Sign. Ridden by Eddie Aceves, Heza Shocker earned $1,455.

Strawberry Fast Girl and Rf Ragstoriches completed the field. Black Mamba Foa completed the field.
