KENNEWICK, WA—MAY 7, 2017—At 32-to-1 odds a late run under jockey Jose Figueroa propelled Ablurrforsure to a neck win over Gone Fast (17-1) in the $25,020 Merial Sun Downs Distaff Challenge Sunday afternoon at the Kennewick, Washington racetrack. Fastest qualifier Klassic Secret Br finished three-quarter back to take third-place.
A Montana homebred racing for owner/breeder Tom Williams, Ablurrforsure completed the 400 yards in :20.286 seconds, a 93 speed index into a 4 mph crosswind, capturing the $11,509 winners' purse.
Coming off a fourth-place effort in the trials, Ablurrforsure is trained by Joseph Sandoval. The 4-year-old daughter of Im Alright Now has compiled an (11) 4-1-2 record in three seasons of racing and earned $18,148. She is out of Kaweahs Blurr by Kaweah Sunrise.

Gone Fast picked up $5,004 for her second place effort for owner/breeder Phoenix Farms and trainer Skyler Greene. Jake Samuels rode the multiple stakes-placed daughter of Meter Me Lucky from the Hawkinson mare Beautiful Ashlee. The Idaho-bred has earned $20,229.
Fastest qualifier Klassic Secret Br dueled early but settled for third and earned $2,502. The stakes-placed daughter of Fantastic Corona Jr races for owner/trainer Juan Sanguino. Salvador Ibarra rode the Benny Rosset California-bred 5-year-old out of champion producer Stylish Secret by Dash For Cash. She has banked $21,445.
Ablurrforsure returned a whopping $62.20 to win, $27 to place and $12.80 to show. Gone Fast paid $10 and $5.80 while Klassic Secret Br returned $5.60 to show. The 6-10-2 trifecta returned $3,825.
Tic Tac Attack, Absolut Pride, Betrothen, Rtm Moonshine, Sorelli, Shez Sneakin Fast and Mags Rambling Moon completed the field.
