AJAX, ONT—JUNE 4, 2017—Coming off a 10th place effort for a $15,000-tag last fall, One Dashin Rose was an impressive wire-to-wire winner in her 3-year-old debut Sunday at Ajax Downs.
Ridden by jockey Cassandra Jeschkle, One Dashin Rose flew over the 330-yard course to win by 1 ˝ lengths on a sloppy racecourse. Her clocking of :16.950 seconds, into an 8-mph crosswind, was good enough to earn a 93-speed index and set the top qualifying time for the $20,000-added Bank of America sponsored Ajax Maiden Challenge.
The 10 fastest qualifiers, from the two trial races contested today, will return to Ajax Downs on Sunday, June 18th to vie for the winner's share of the purse.

Bred in Oklahoma by Paris Wixon, from the Strawfly Special mare Strike A Rose, One Dashin Rose went 0-1-2 in seven starts at a 2-year-old. She has earned $9,478.
Also breaking his maiden, Maryland Magic was a wire-to-wire winner in the second trial when he defeated Jewel Of An Episode by three-quarters. The son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon clocked the second fastest qualifying time of :16.990 seconds, a 92-speed index into an 8-mph crosswind on racing surface rated "good".
Trainer Jason Pascoe conditions the black colt for owner Milena Kwiecien. Bred in Maryland by Stephen Harris, Maryland Magic finished third twice in 2017 at Sunland Park in New Mexico and Remington Park in Oklahoma. Out of the All Mitey Dash mare Purley Un Social, Maryland Magic has compiled a (8) 1-2-3 record while banking $10,109.
