KENNEWICK, WA—APRIL 20, 2018—True Copy, a California-bred daughter of Tr Dasher owned by Charles G. Stojan, is one of 16 3-year-olds entered in Saturday’s 400-yard Adequan Sun Downs Derby Challenge trials at Sun Downs.

Trained by William Leech, True Copy will be making her season debut off of a juvenile campaign during which she earned $38,591 from six outs, all in Canada, and her five wins included a half-length victory in the October 21, 400-yard Canada Cup Futurity (RG3) at Century Downs. The filly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Ricardo Moreno in the first of two trials.

CM Once Ina Bluemoon ships in from California, where the gelded son of Ivory James scored a neck victory in a 300-yard sprint for $16,000 claimers at Los Alamitos on April 6. The runner-up in last year’s 400-yard Oregon-Bred Futurity (R) at Portland Meadows, CM Once Ina Bluemoon is owned by Randy Dickerson and trainer Nick Lowe.

CM Once Ina Bluemoon drew post 2 and will be ridden by Luis F. Gonzalez in the second heat.

The fastest qualifiers will meet in the $20,000-added Adequan Sun Downs Derby Challenge final on May 5.
